My style of teaching and my level of expertise have appealed to a number of different kinds of students over many years. Students who thrive with my teaching have a love of music and find time to practice the piano every day. My students have included:

Advanced and intermediate level students of all ages who have wished to:

- broaden their repertoire
- develop technical skills
- understand and communicate better the meaning of the music they play
- become more polished and confident performers
- develop skills needed to work with increased independence

Children and adults who are complete beginners, who are age five and above who:

- have a good sense of pitch
- have a good sense of rhythm
- have a good sense of body awareness (can find their fingers with their eyes shut)
- can follow directions
- have parental support for their piano study (in the case of children)
- will be able to practice regularly on an acoustic piano (a touch-sensitive keyboard may be acceptable for a half-year)
