Members Recital New England Piano Teachers’ Association Deborah Yardley Beers will perform the Bartók Rondos for piano solo in a performance that also features other members of the New England Piano Teachers' Association. Works by Bizet, Chopin, Granados, Khachaturian, Đặng Hữu Phúc, Poulenc, Clara Schumann, and Stravinsky will also be performed. Donations to support NEPTA programs can be made at www.nepta.info.

Faculty Recital: Take a Spring Break! Rivers School Conservatory Pianist Eleanor Perrone has invited Deborah to play on this Rivers School Conservatory Faculty recital. Deborah will perform Bartók Three Rondos on Folk Tunes for piano solo, in a performance that also features music for solo piano by Bach, Chopin, Jalbert, and Ginastera. In addition Leah Kosch, Susanne Friedrich, and Wendy Vignaux will play a trio for piano, flute and cello by Gaubert. A reception will follow the concert.

Music Marathon of the Women Composers Festival of Hartford Austin Arts Center, Trinity College Deborah Yardley Beers will play the world premiere of her original work for piano solo, Variations on a Laundry Song, in the opening concert of the Music Marathon, Women Composers Festival of Hartford. Other composers in the concert will include Kakia Gkoudina, Barbara Harbach and Margaret Garwood. Faculty Recital: 41st Annual Seminar on Contemporary Music for the Young Rivers School Conservatory Deborah Yardley Beers will play her original new work for piano solo, Variations on a Laundry Song in the Seminar on Contemporary Music for the Young, which will run from April 5-7. Free admission for the faculty recital, $10 full day admission for each Saturday and Sunday. |

Evening Concert Women, Feminists, and Music: Transforming Tomorrow Today Deborah Yardley Beers will perform her original composition, Variations on a Laundry Song, in this concert. The conference, of which this concert is a part, is sponsored by the International Alliance for Women in Music and Feminist Theory and Music 15. Composers, performers, scholars and more from around the world will give presentations at the conference, which will take place from June 6 - 9. Registration for all four days is $235 ($95 for students). Single-day passes may become available. |
