"Eloquent" is a word that composers Matthew Aucoin and Libby Larsen and pianist Lois Shapiro have all used to describe original compositions by Deborah Yardley Beers.

The growing oeuvre of Deborah's original piano music, which encompasses both artist-level and pedagogical pieces, is shaped by her experience as a pianist, performer, teacher, thinker, and human being. All of it is playable by hands that barely reach a ninth on the standard piano keyboard.
